Rotary Club of Darlaston

Welcome to the world of Rotary in Darlaston

        Founded 1948                                                                                   Club in RIBI/RI 684/19967

.............trying to make a difference in our community!

We are a group of men and women  trying to make a difference in the local and wider communities.  Our Club has an enviable reputation for its voluntary work, for it's friendliness and for enjoying itself - we are just ordinary people trying to put something back into our community, giving our time and efforts when we are able.

We are very much involved with youth organisations and schools in the town,
providing both funding and challenging opportunities
for our young people.

Our senior citizens
are a central focus for us; we visit residential homes with concert parties and play dominoes. Darlaston Rotary Club has been actively involved with disability of all kinds since 1947. We are still committed to those people with physical disabilities, as well as to those with learning difficulties.

Our public face is the Christmas sleigh, collecting around the streets of Darlaston and
at ASDA. You may have left a tribute to a loved one on our "Tree of Light", or had your blood pressure taken during one of our "Stroke Awareness" Days.

Your children may have collected for our "Thanks for Life" Campaign in order to finally
rid the World of polio; they may have filled shoeboxes, so that less fortunate children can experience some of the joy of Christmas.

We are best described as a "hands on" Club, actively practicing  Rotary's motto "Service above Self"
